UK Government Declares Domestic Violence Crisis After 2025 Killings
A recent report shows that about 100 women and girls were killed in 2025 in the United Kingdom. It's also mentioned that, in these killings male suspects were involved. In most cases, the victims were killed by their partner or men they already knew, often inside their homes. Cases such as the murders of Isobella Knight, Sabina Nessa, Nilani Nimalarajah, and Hien Thi Vu highlight how domestic abuse, controlling behaviour, and substance abuse can lead to deadly violence. The government declared domestic violence as a national emergency and plans stronger measures to prevent abuse, protect victims, and punish offenders.
